Today I went to Salt Lake City, to visit the grave of my brother, Jonathan Kent Hansen. It was kind of rough. He died 2 years ago today. I went on my own, feeling like I wanted someone to be there with me but at the same time just wanting some time alone there.
I can't believe how fast these 2 years have flown, and wish so much that he could have been here for those 2 years, and for many more to come. Jon was a fantastic person, full of life and energy. He was always a great support to me and the things I was doing, whatever they were. Miss you, bro!!
This is from "Four Weddings and a Funeral." I thought it was appropriate for today.
Funeral Blues
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He is Dead.
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

I'm glad you could do that today. I wish I could have been with you. Diddow to everything you said about him. I miss him too.
Did you put the flower on the gravestone? It looks really nice.
Sounds like your brother is pretty great.
